TrickFish Lures officially launched in 2020, but the story goes much deeper. Dan, an avid angler for over 25 years, had always considered creating custom baits but never fully pursued it. That all changed when the COVID-19 pandemic struck. With much of the world, including supply chains, at a standstill, and with fishing as one of the few activities still available, Dan found the perfect opportunity to bring that long-held idea to life.
What set TrickFish Lures apart from the start was the focus on availability, choice, and quality. While many come to bait-making through a love of collecting, TrickFish took a different approach. Dan, frustrated with the lack of supply and inconsistent quality, began crafting baits that could meet the high standards they expected on the water.
The evolution into a business happened organically. As Dan dove deeper into the world of bait-making, the number of baits quickly exceeded personal use. What started as a self-sustaining hobby, aiming only to cover costs, soon grew into something far larger. TrickFish Lures gained traction among fellow anglers who were searching for high-quality, Canadian-made baits.
Today, TrickFish Lures is proud to provide the angling community with a range of meticulously crafted lures. The company's foundation remains rooted in the belief that every angler deserves access to the best possible tools, made by those who understand the importance of quality on the water.
