Limestone Lures was founded in 2020, inspired by an idea conceived during a Canadian Armed Forces deployment to Iraq in 2019. In challenging conditions, the vision of creating high-quality soft plastic lures took shape. Upon returning to Canada, extensive research and development led to the creation of the first lure, the Molten Lil' Rib Kicker, which successfully landed a smallmouth bass in Lake Ontario. This pivotal moment sparked the launch of Limestone Lures.
Initially selling through word of mouth and Facebook Marketplace, Limestone Lures quickly gained traction due to the demand for quality, locally-made soft plastics. Today, the company offers a range of handcrafted lures, known for their performance and precision. Each lure is made with care and designed to help anglers catch fish more effectively.
The company's mascot, Scrappie the Crappie, was created through collaboration with a graphic designer and has since become a recognizable symbol of Limestone Lures. With a focus on innovation, craftsmanship, and a passion for fishing, Limestone Lures remains dedicated to providing Canadian-made products that anglers can trust.
