1. This contest consists of two(2) categories. Each category will award one(1) prize to the person with the largest fish.
• Bluegill
• Perch
2. By entering the contest, all participants declare an understanding of all contest rules and agree to abide by them.
3. Any participants breaking any of the contest rules and/or any applicable laws will be disqualified.
4. All participants will abide by the appropriate fishing regulations in their region and each participant is responsible for their own actions.
5. All submissions must be received between 12pm EST, January 20, 2024 and 9:00pm EST, January 28, 2024.
6. You are responsible for, and you take full responsibility of, your safety and actions at all times before, during and after the contest. 
7. We assume no responsibility or liability for any errors or omissions.
8. All decisions made by the officials are final.
9. Catch submissions must fulfil all of the following:
• Proof of catch is required either by photo or video, and must include a piece of paper with the words “FIRST ICE 2024” written on it or verbally said if in video format.
• The caught fish must be displayed on a measuring tape/stick with the length clearly visible.
• If the length is not clearly visible or the paper is missing, the submission will not be considered.
• All submissions must be made by posting your photo/video to the Great Canadian Fishing Store and Nick’s Handmade Panfish Jig’s feed on Facebook or tagging the Great Canadian Fishing Store and Nick’s Handmade Panfish Jigs on Instagram by the contest deadline (see below).
